In this video we are going to see how to add alt text to an image in e-college. First you need to be in author mode. You can click on this icon to make your screen larger. You need to put your cursor where you want the image to be then you go up here to our picture icon. There’s two ways to access an image. You can upload it just like you do when you're doing an attachment to an email. Here it says “Descriptive Text” which is the same thing as the alt text and you'll type in here describing the image. And here it tells you that the descriptive text is for people who cannot view images. I have already uploaded an image to the course so I want to select that. But again you'll see the descriptive text for people who cannot view the images. So I need to type some text in there. Then I need to go down and find my picture. You click the radial button in front of the image, scroll all the way down and click on insert image, and now you'll see that the alt text is there. To make sure that it stays, you need to click here on the blue icon again to make the screen smaller so we can see our save changes button. Then we'll click ok. Then let's go back over to the course home view and if we hold our cursor over the picture, we see the alt text. So hope this video proves helpful.
